Hello! I'm Rachael Stamps, a designer based in San Francisco. I've been lucky to work with great people in some great advertising agencies, where I transformed creative concepts into high-impact campaigns. However, I am now seeking opportunities to grow as a UX designer.

Why, you ask? Well, as fun as designing for 360 campaigns was, I strongly desire to focus on actual user outcomes vs. pure emotional appeal. I am excited by the Iterative process and the ability to improve a product based on user feedback. Something is refreshing and grounding about seeing a problem and working in teams to fix it. I like engaging long-term with a product's evolution to create genuine user utility and value.

I come from a human-centered design background, which means I prioritize people. This posture impacts my designs and how I present myself in the workplace.

As design studio manager at GS&P, I sought to lead through service and joy. I enjoyed actively shaping the larger agency culture by creating experiences that connect, elevate, and inspire people to do their best work.

I don't believe you need an ED&I budget to achieve ED&I goals within your company. Through founding and co-leading an Employee Resource Group, mentoring interns, and teaching at GS&P's Academy, I came to believe effective ED&I happens when successful companies intentionally allow underrepresented voices to shadow other high-performing contributors so they can grow into the employees you trust in higher stake roles. Ideally, your definition of a good company includes helping your people rise.
In short, you could say I understand the impact of culture on final output.

I am based in San Francisco, where I spend my free time learning how to surf and training for my next run. I also spend a ridiculous amount of time converting an old Toyota Hiace named Norby into an adventure mobile.

I'm currently seeking an in-house role where I can fully immerse myself in one product journey, collaborate with dedicated teams, and help shape the future of creative design as our industry evolves with AI.
